BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!

This is just a quickie,

I was listening to something this morning about not letting your faith slide because Jesus seems to be taking His time to arrive.

It’s tempting to think It’s not happening anytime soon and put off doing the right thing or slipping back into bad habits. It reminded me of the parable of the 10 virgins. (Matthew 25: 1-13)

Jesus tells people what it will be like when He does return.

He tells a parable about 10 virgins, 5 kept their oil (faith), topped up, but 5 let it run out, and did not have time to go and get more before the bridegroom arrived.

The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’

12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour."

Notice verse 5. Says, ‘the bridegroom was a long time coming so they got drowsy and fell asleep.

When we physically see Jesus, I think it will be too late. We’ll be ready or we won’t, there's no in between!

If I understand right, the lamps are our spirits and the oil is our faith.

So, top up your oil!!
