NEVER STOP READING!

I decided to read the gospel of Mark again. It's a gospel I don't read often. I don't know why, I suppose I just tend to go to the gospel of John because I relate to that gospel better. I feel that I 'see' Jesus better in that gospel.

Anyway, as I was reading chapter 1, verse 38 jumped out at me. It was the sentence 'that is why I came out.' some bibles have end at the word come, some say 'that is why I came forth,' some say 'that is why I came.' but this version says 'That is why I came out.'

It reminded me that I often think to myself, if anyone asks about Jesus I'd say, He came out from God and into the world to teach us about God and bring us back to Himself. It is a sentence I chose which describes John 1:1-3 & verse 14 in a way I can describe to others.

'In the beginning was the word, the word was with God and the word was God, He was with God in the beginning.'

Jesus was with God and part of God, The Father does everything through the Son. Jesus was with with God in the beginning. He had a glorious place, yet he came out of heaven. He was separated from the Father to become a man. To feel what mankind feels, to walk among us, to bring the knowledge of the Father to his children. ('The word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.').

When it was finished, He gained back His glory and more! because He was faithful to the end.

Jesus came out from God to bring us good news - you are forgiven through his sacrifice on the cross.

It reminds me to never stop reading, because God will bring your attention to things you missed before, often just at a time you need that word. My God is awesome!!

This is how I understand my God.

Read for yourself, see what you think.
