EVERY PERSON MATTERS TO GOD.

You are so important to God that he sent Jesus to the cross for you.

Yes, for You!

Now you may feel small, unimportant and insignificant in this world full of people. But to God you are important. He loves you now as you are, and whatever situation you are in. And on top of that, he can use you just as you are, where you are to make a difference for good.

You can make a difference to many people, or just one person. To God, that one is as important as the many. He doesn’t want to lose anyone! We are all his children.

So, you make mistakes - we all make mistakes. Some small, some whoppers, but that doesn’t stop him loving you any more than your errors stop your parents from loving you - well, good parents anyway. And he is a good parent. He has more love in his little finger nail than the whole world put together.

You may feel that God cannot see you amongst all the people on this earth, but you would be wrong. He sees you and he calls out to you, you just have to listen.

Jesus says, “Those who can ear – listen!”  (Matthew 11:15, 13:9, 13:43)

In John 10:27 Jesus says,   “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”

We had a talk at church today which was about John 10:14 where Jesus is saying, "I am the good shepherd, I know my sheep and my sheep know me.”

John 10:3 says “The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.”

Some people are offended by Jesus calling people sheep as they consider sheep to be stupid. But Jesus used the ways and words of the people of that time.

At that time, everyone who could afford them, had sheep. They were treasured possessions. A village would put all the sheep together into one flock to go up on the mountain with a shepherd to watch over them. Then when they came down, the owners would call out their sheep and take them home. Sheep know the sound of their owner’s voice and come to it. (I’ve seen it on you tube).

So, Jesus is using the knowledge of the day to help people understand that God not only owns all of us but loves all of us. He is calling to everyone, and everyone who hears needs to listen, because he is the good shepherd who lays down his life for his flock.

There will be many at the end who will try and sneak in with the flock but God knows who believes in him and who does not, because he knows his sheep by name!

He who has an ear...let him hear.

This is how I understand my God.

Read for yourself, see what you think.
