LIFE WITHOUT GOD?

If you want to know what life without God is like, look around.

What you see in this world is what happens when people practice ruling themselves. The chaos we see is mankind doing it themsleves. It is so obvious that we cannot rule ourselves it's painful to watch.

When a country prays and worships God, you see that, although they are not perfect, the country prospers and people are cared for....generally speaking. They become countries everyone wants to live in. I beleive that when a country as a whole chooses to worship God and tries to follow his rules, he watches over them. But the more a country turns away from God, and does things their own way, the more God has to turn away and remove his protective hand.

He does not do this lightly. I read Isaiah 16 this morning. Here God is telling Isaiah that he can see what the people are doing, so he has to remove his protection and Moab will fall, verse 6. He goes on to say in verses 9 & 11 that it grieves him to do it, but it has to be done. Yet even in his anger, he leaves a space for the innocent and those who trust him.

This is what he has done for the whole world through Jesus. We have a way out of the day of the Lord's anger through Jesus on the cross.

So, let's practice peace, faith, and holiness whilst we wait. Pracrice love, justice and care for those around us, and practice giving thanks for all that God has done for us. Then in the day of his anger, he will keep us safe in his arms. Until then, he promises to be with us throughout everything.
