GOSPEL SINGING

This morning I heard a singer saying that he was reluctant to be called a gospel singer because it was used as a derogatory term to describe black worship singers. But I thought, “don’t be ashamed or worried by it, Christ has used it for good. Everybody has copied it. Why? Because it’s good music!!

It is unreserved, no holding back, mean what you’re singing – with JOY worship. It’s fab!

What ignorance uses for shame, God will use for good!

He showed everyone that these people who were oppressed for their colour had a deep understanding of Christ’s love and the joy of it shows in their worship songs. Everyone wanted it. That’s where modern music comes form in my opinion, and as long as the words are true and follow the Gospels in the bible, there is no shame in that!

Christ uses the disadvantaged to shame the strong. And its those who oppress others that are shameful, no-matter where they come from!

Christ used what was meant for harm to show his glory and you share in that glory when you sing pure, heartfelt ‘gospel’ songs. So keep singing!

This is how I understand my God.
