God has given us his spirit, which is a spirit of power!
He makes the weak strong, the poor rich, the sad happy, the hungry full, the thirsty satisfied.
When we feel afraid but we stand up for what is right and good we are made strong. The doing of it may make us sweat a bit, but it also builds us up and strengthens us.
God supports us with his Holy Spirit and sometimes his angels, as in Daniel 3, when Shadrach Meshach and Abednego refused to bow down and worship King Nebuchadnezzar. They stood up for God even though they were thrown into the furnace. God was there with them in the flames, and they came out without a mark on them. I'm sure they were afraid and felt the heat, yet they stood firm and God helped them.
When we go through difficult times, we often feel 'burned'. The pain is intense. Yet if we trust in Jesus, he will be there with us and will bring us through unharmed. People will say 'How did you get through it without crumbling into pieces?' and you can say Jesus was with me!
His Spirit makes us strong, even though we feel weak
He makes us shine in the face of evil and overcome darkness and all that was sent to harm us.
He is our saviour and our God, and His Spirit is a Spirit of power!
