IT IS ESSENTIAL TO RESEARCH FOR YOURSELF!!

To make an informed decision means you need to read for yourself.

Ask God to show you the truth before you read, as I did- and still do when I feel uncertain about something.

When I first started to read the bible I asked God to show me His truth, not what other people wanted me to 'know.'

Very gradually, and I mean gradually...I am a slow learner, I began to understand. I was no quick convert.

He taught me;

1st. That Jesus was a man of deep love for mankind and helped all those he came across.

2nd. That Jesus was His Son - and it took me some time to understand this.

3rd. That Jesus is my Saviour who saved me from the punishment due for my sins.

I didn't know I had particular sins - well nothing I would have considered serious anyway. But when you understand what God's plan was for mankind, you understand how far we have fallen.

I learned that God is Love, His Son lived a loving life, and His command to us was to love Him and to love one another. (John 14:15). And he left us with a comforter - the Holy Spirit, who lives in us and with us at all times.

Jesus said, If we love Him, we will obey His command. (John 14:15).

Is that such a bad thing? Does he deserve the ridicule and rejection he took?
