I was reminded the other day after a Pcc meeting that although we need fellowship, comfort and friendship with and from each other, we must not forget to lean on Our Saviour when we feel low, high or anywhere in between.
Our faith takes us to Jesus, His faith takes us to the Father – and between the Father, the Son and the Holy spirit, everything is possible for one who believes. (Mark 9:22-24).
And will our sins, (and we all have them), get in the way?
No! because we confess our sins to Jesus, and determine, with truthfulness, to steer clear of them in future. And even though we sometimes fail and fall short of our promises. We trust he will never fall short on his promises. This puts us right with Jesus and so we are right with the Father.
We lean on Jesus because he is the love of the Father in person, and he is constantly working on our behalf.
This is how I understand my God.
