TO WHOM SHOULD WE BOW?

Throughout history many have desired that all men should bow to them because they feel that they are important and deserving of honour and glory. They will physically force everyone to bow to them. It boosts their ego’s but generally leads to their downfall.

Biblically however, Jesus is the only one that deserves that honour. However, he doesn’t barge his way into our lives and force us to our knees. He explains himself, and those who believe understand, and freely bow to him.

It is Jesus who teaches us what type of behaviour is acceptable to God, and he demonstrates it personally in his way of life.

This is the reason Jesus came and why, in the end, every knee will bow to him, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phillipians 2:10)
