SAY IT CLEAR

There's a song called the living years which says 'say it loud, say it clear, you can listen as well as you hear.'

This came into my mind this morning after reading Psalms 23, 24, and 25 out loud - not shouting, but like I was talking to God right there in my living room. As I was reading, I felt a sense of peace overwhelm me. It was lovely.

Then, my daughter came into the room.

It is her day off, but she was going to log onto work to pass on a little more information to her colleagues to make something clearer so that they wouldn't have too much extra work to do.

As I looked at her, I felt so proud, because she really didn't want to interrupt her day with work, but she couldn't just leave what she felt was a mess for someone else to sort out. I said to her, "You are so lovely, you have a good heart. Even when you really don't want to, you choose to do the right thing."

she smiled and said, "Oh, thanks mom." And, I think she felt better about doing it.

She has always been the same, and it always annoys her because it makes more work or stress for herself, but she has to do what she feels is right to be able to live with herself. Sometimes though, she needs to feel that someone notices, as we all do.

I think we should always make a point of telling someone when they have done something good, so that they know their good works have been seen - even if it's not by the person they are helping. After all, this is what our Heavenly Father does for us.

When we read the Psalms, we see that he always has his eye on what mankind does, and the faithful servant is always seen by Him, and appreciated by Him. So let's follow His example.

'All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness for those who keep his *covenant and his testimonies'

'The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him and he makes known to them his *covenant.' (Psalm 25, verses 10 & 14)

And God also likes to know we see and hear Him. So, read out loud to our God - he will always hear you and be pleased you take notice of Him.

This is how I understand my God.

Read for yourself, see what you think.

*Covenant means a promise, an agreement, or a legal contract.
