JESUS DOES
When you think no-one sees you – Jesus sees you
This can work in two ways
When you think no-one saw you sneak into that house and steal someone else’s belongings, Jesus saw you.
When you deliberately walked out of a shop without paying and got away with it, Jesus saw you
When you took those drugs, Jesus saw you.
When you hurt that child for your own desires, Jesus saw you.
When you conspired to kill someone, Jesus saw you.
When you turned your back on that needy person, Jesus saw you.
When you wrote that anonymous message, Jesus saw you.
You get the picture! When we think got away with wrongdoing because no-one saw us, we are mistaken!
God has millions upon millions of angels working for him, plus, if you have accepted Christ as your Saviour, you have God’s Holy spirit living in you, and he knows exactly how you feel. Those spiteful thoughts you have are no secret to God! He knows when you are Jealous, vengeful, selfish, and indifferent to the suffering of others. He sees us everyday and calls us to repentance for the things we do wrong.
The flip side is;
When you help your neighbour, even when they appear ungrateful, Jesus sees you.
When you help that person who is hurt, Jesus sees you.
When you forgive that person who deeply hurt you, Jesus sees you.
When you show someone undeserved mercy, Jesus sees you.
When you put a few coins into that collection box, Jesus sees you.
When you help someone anonymously Jesus sees you.
When you love justice and hate injustice, Jesus sees you.
When you hate cruelty and sadism, Jesus sees you.
When you work your fingers to the bone and your spouse doesn’t even notice you are tired, Jesus sees you.
When the stresses of life have poisoned your body and caused all sorts of health problems, Jesus sees you.
When you think you are going to die and no-one cares, Jesus sees you.
He sees you and he love’s you. He is calling you to turn to him for healing
Cry out to our heavenly father, tell him how you feel. Be honest, he knows anyway! Ask him to help you. Thank him for his help in advance – (this shows trust). Pray in Jesus name, and say *Amen at the end.
Then wait. He will restore your soul. Sometimes its quick. Sometimes it takes a little longer. I think this could depend on; our personality and our emotional needs, or sometimes on what needs to be done to bring about the right situation.
Nothing is impossible with God, so be patient. And in the meantime, get a bible and read about him. The Psalms are good for understanding God’s ways and, also helping us explain our feelings to him. Most of our feelings are in there somewhere! Where you can, help those who need support, and thank him every day for what he is doing for you. Something is happening even if you can’t see it right now.
Our Saviour is our ever-present helper in times of trouble. (Psalm 9:9, 41:1, 59:16, Nahum 1:7)
Trust him. He loves you.
This is how I understand my God.
Read for yourself, see what you think.
*Amen means ‘May it be done as you say,’ or ‘Your will be done.’ And his will is always to heal you, help you, and bring you close to himself.
