Galatians 5:22 -26
‘The fruit of the Spirit is Love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking, and envying each other.'
There is no law against goodness, and these things are good things – things of God and of his Spirit, things that Jesus demonstrated every day, and as his followers, we should emulate him. I think that if we do these things, we cannot fail to please God, because we are doing as Jesus did, because Jesus did it - and we trust in him.
Let’s pray for help to live in goodness with those around us every day, no-matter what the situation.
