BEWARE OF FALSE CHRISTS OR FALSE PROPHETS

Using King James bible (KJ) and Revised Standard version (RSV)

This theme has come up again at home after watching a programme on yet another cult, and I’ll keep saying this as often as it seems necessary, From Matthew chapter 24

Jesus is answering the disciples question of "when will these things happen, and what shall be the signs of his coming and the end of the world."

He is talking about a time when there will be a great tribulation in the world, such has never been seen before and, I think, people will be desperately searching for something good, something to give them hope. We will probably begin to see more of these.

We must also be aware of preachers who tell us that Christ is in their church and nothing will bad will happen to us if we join them. This is not what Jesus said. In fact he said just the opposite. (verses 9-10).

'And Jesus answered and said unto them, TAKE HEED THAT NO MAN DECEIVE YOU!’ For many shall come in my name saying, ‘I am the Christ!’ and deceive many. (KJ 24:4)

"Then, if any man shall say unto you, “LO, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold I have told you before. Wherefore they say unto you, behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: Behold he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightening cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." (KJ Verses 23-27).

This means that everyone will see him arrive, not just a select few!

This is how I understand my God,

Read for yourself, see what you think.
