HE IS WAITING FOR YOU

When King David was in fear for his life, He turned to God and asked for help.

He told God everything that was worrying him – even his deepest fears, then reminded himself of God’s love and power.

What stood out to me when I was reading Psalm 59 was verse 10. In my *bible it says;

‘My God in his steadfast love will meet me.

My God will let me look in triumph on my enemies.’

(Other versions have; ‘My God in whom I can rely,

God will go before me

and will let me gloat over those who slander me’)

But I as I read mine, I thought “yes, my God us meets us in the person of Christ, and has bestowed his steadfast love on us all if we choose it."

It is in Christ that we stand – now and on the last day.

When we pray to God, he meets us exactly where we are, and even though the answer does not always appear immediately, we can be sure he has heard us, then we will see what he can do.

As David did in his prayers, we hope for things yet unseen, and long for a life not yet here. But God answered David’s prayers. He forgave his sins and blessed him because he believed.

Now, through Jesus, we have that same confidence in the Father. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, so those who rely on/trust in him will see answer to their prayers at whatever time the Father has set.

So, come, meet God, and see what he can do.
