PSALM 91
If anyone asks how God loves us – this is the reply.
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High, will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
If we make God our refuge and our fortress – the person we go to in times of trouble and the one we trust in for our wellbeing - He will save us from Satan’s snares and from everything the devil throws at us to make us lose our faith and turn away from God.
His faithfulness will shield us and give us a way to himself. No harm will overtake us. No disaster will come near our tent because he will command his angels concerning us to guard us in all our ways and keep us safe.
Because we love him, He will be with us in times of trouble, He will protect us, honour us, give us long life, and show us his salvation.
A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but the pestilence will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
In short. If we trust in Him and turn to him in our times of trouble, he will find a way out for us. No matter what the devil tries to do to us and around us, he will never take us out of the Fathers hand. Because we put our trust in our heavenly Father, we belong to the Father, and we are guarded by his angels.
When troubles come your way, remember that Jesus has already won the victory for us on the cross. We just need to stand in Christ’s glory and trust in the love of God.
This is how I understand my God.
Read for yourself, see what you think.
Note: 'You know my name' by Tasha Cobbs Leonard is a song I like as it reminds me that God sees me and hears me.
