WHEN YOU MESS UP, COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS, YOU ARE LOVED!

I heard a preacher say, "The devil condemns you when you mess up, but our Heavenly Father convicts us." As I understand it the difference is this;

To be condemned means that you have been tried, found guilty and the punishment is coming!

To be convicted means that you have been shown what your sin is.

What makes the difference is forgiveness. The devil says, "Aha! your sin is evident, you are no good and you never will be."

God says, "Beloved Son/Daughter, You have made a mistake, because of Jesus I forgive you, Let me help you through it, stick by me and you will not fall into that trap again."

If we fix our eyes on Him, we will be saved from the punishment that God requires of that sin, (according to the law He gave to Moses), because Jesus overcame the law, paid our debts on the cross , and bought life in abundance!

When you mess up count your blessings, remember what God has already done for you and thank Him for them, i.e. the wife/husband who stands by you, the children who love you, the times you did well and overcame difficulties. Then get into His word and remind yourself of His promises. Remember that all scriptures are there to help you grow, including rebuking, and if you diligently seek God, He will equip you for every good work!  (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

So don't let your troubles discourage you, let them help you grow and count them as blessings in disguise, (James 1:2-8). This is impossible on your own, but with God, all things are possible!

And remember, to God we are like a favourite child, the one whom you dearly love. Even when that child does wrong, it doesn't take away the love you feel for them. If anything, it makes you want to help them understand, overcome their wrong thinking and change for the better.

This is how our Heavenly father loves us, everyone of us.

That is why He sent Jesus to teach us.

That is why He gave Jesus up to the cross - to save us from our errors.

That is why He left us with the Holy Spirit to guide us.

This blog is a blessing. I haven't thought all these things up on my own, I am not brainy enough on my own. I read my bible as often as I can, listen to others, consider everything, and always ask my God for help. He loves it when you ask Him for help.

Ask God to tune you into His Holy Spirit. You carry Him with you from the moment you accept Jesus into your life, so let Him guide you into the path of righteousness, and let him turn your mess into a message of hope for others. That is, the right way to live. (proverbs 8:20 and 11:5). Make your path straight before the coming of the Lord, and be blessed along the way.

This is how I understand my God.

Look for yourself, see what you think.
